Overview
The ShareMy team wanted us to take their existing PDF designs and transform the look and feel to match the caliber of mobile apps currently on the market. To accomplish this, our designer used their existing designs and documentation to map out user flows in Figma to understand the intended goals and highlight gaps in the original designs. Together with stakeholders we brainstormed improvements to the user flows and proposed additions to address the gaps.
Once we had the flows mapped out, our designer got to work pulling inspiration images together to gain a better understanding of what the stakeholders wanted the new user interface to look like. Our designer was able to pinpoint characteristics that the stakeholders liked, and established a color palette and typographic styles to match. These colors and text styles are used across the designs along with images to create the unique aesthetic of ShareMy's interface.
Dark periwinkle blue contrasts with bright pops of orange to give the platform an energetic and playful feeling to match the app's main themes of activities, friends, and fun.
